About

About Hotel Santo Stefano

Hotel Santo Stefano is located in the historical centre of Venice, just 7 minutes walk from the beautiful St

Mark square, a few steps from Rialto Bridge with its shops and the famous “La Fenice” Theater, rebuilt after a fire in 1996

Our structure is located in Campo Santo Stefano, one of the largest and most elegant in Venice, far from the confusion and noise

The windows of some of our rooms enjoy the magical view of this beautiful square

Built on a 13th-century building, a clear example of Venetian Gothic architecture, it was originally a defensive tower of a convent, which overlooked a stretch of water, later transformed into Campo Santo Stefano

The building was then a school of lace and later was used by the “maestri botteri” who were responsible for the construction of barrels

The hotel retains an elegant atmosphere of the past with distinguished and refined furniture
