New Record of Tourists in Bolu and Karabuk Winter Resorts

The number of tourists visiting the Kartalkaya snow ski centre in Bolu city and the Keltepe centre in Karabuk this year hit 325,000, setting a new record for visitors to both places.

Halit Ergul, president of the Association of Hotel Operators in north-western Turkey, said the Kartalkaya Centre usually receives nearly 250,000 visitors annually in the winter season, but this year has seen a marked increase, with more than 300,000 tourists.

It is worth noting that the centre ended this year's ski season activities on 27 March.

Speaking to Turkey's Anadolu Agency, Ergul said the Keltepe Ski and Winter Tourism Centre in Karabuk received nearly 25,000 visitors this year, with the Keltepe Ski Centre opening its doors to visitors and tourists in January 2020.

Located 2,000 metres above sea level, Keltepe Centre in the Turkish city of Karabuk is a great tourist destination for skiing lovers.
